Being the more than occasional healthy eater that I am, I felt like sharing a few of the yummy snacks I munch on when I need a quick bite that will keep your weight down as well as your hunger.

One of my all time favorite snacks on the go has to go to Special K strawberry bars. SO DELISH and at only 90 calories a bar you most definitely cannot go wrong. It makes me happy to buy these yummy things at Cosco in bulk. These are a must!!

Want to eat Ice Cream without all the Calories?? One of my faves is the pomegranate chip from Purely Decadent. A satisfying ice cream alternative that wont leave you feeling guilty.

Most typically eaten with sushi, I have turned Edamame beans into my personal snack on the go. I eat them with no salt or soy sauce and not boiled or cooked and these things are still da bomb! Perfect for a snack on the meal just make sure you have somewhere to put the shells. Other than that these things are more than healthy for you and you wont feel guilty having a couple more….or a handful ;)

It’s a hot day, your in a hurry and you have no time to sit down and grub. That’s why they invented Naked Juice. These juices have anything and everything you could ever need or want while dieting. I love snacking on trail mix at any time but especially before I hit the gym or hit up a hike trail. Trail mix offers an array of different nuts, dried fruit and even chocolate. The almonds are a great source of protein and are also known for lowering cholesterol. The chocolate may not be the best but we can indulge here and there right? Yes we can! Anything to the extreme is unnecessary. Have a couple, that’s right women I said a couple unless you plan on running an extra mile.

I could go on with healthy snacks but I will stop there….for now. Don’t worry though, there will be many more posts to come of healthy eating. At the same time please do not take anything to the extreme. These are just snacks to be eaten between meals and on the go. I am not a fan of the skin & bone look so please….eat full, nutritious, healthy meals as well. Snack away!!!
