Christopher Kane’s Gorilla dresses and tees had everyone talking. The newest affordable (and by affordable I mean $298 a shirt) collection atomic wares has got to be my favorite. He has collaborated with NYC retailer Opening Ceremony to produce the unisex atomic bomb and mushroom cloud print tees and dresses, and they are available at a fraction of the price of the luxe originals. The images are inspired from test explosions in the 50’s and 70’s. Also spotted wearing the atomic shirt was Katy Perry (under the cut).

So Crocs are basically the worst fashion trend of the century. I know, everyone is thinking “weren’t they dead last year”? Answer is “no”, darling. They are very well alive, and doing well I guess. I walked by the Crocs store when I was recently in New York and there were tons of people, kids, teens, families shopping. Sure, you can go on and say “they’re comfy”. Well, just because they are comfy, it doesn’t mean you have to have them in each color. And arent’ their other options for comfort? Ever hear of Dr. Scholls? I think what bothers me most about Crocs, are not the classic/basic Crocs, but their willingness to CREATE these other hideous looking boots and wannabe heels. Anyway, as many of our readers hate me for saying Uggs are aweful, and leggings worn as pants. I hope there is not one person on our blog who says Crocs are a wonderful fashion trend. Let’s hope Crocs go under, bless your soul.
Many apologies to our budget ballin’ fashionistas. We bring to you another cash vs charge. These Stuart Weitzman Stiltsling Platforms usually go for $355 at Bloomies, but luckily, Jessica Simpson made their own version which retail for $88.95.
I am actually kind of excited for Lindsay’s brand expansion for her 6126 leggings. Besides the prices being super steep, I love what she (and her designers) have done. DNAM apparel is going to help manufacture the new full collection of clothing for 6126.
DNAM Apparel has taken 6126 under its wing to manufacture the new full collection of clothing.
Kristi Kaylor, from 6126 states:
“We’ve had amazing success with the leggings line. We have a great business with Neiman Marcus and several hundred great specialty stores. [DNAM Apparel] was the perfect partner to work with 6126 and grow it was a lifestyle brand. We’re launching the full clothing collection next year, and a cosmetics line, handbags, shoes, jewelry in spring 2011.”
Sorry I’m so late on this, but regardless, this is definitely a colletion to own. Here is quick view to the Fafi x Adidas 2009/10 Holiday Collection.
How could someone ever go wrong in polka dot sneakers? The latest from UBIQ’s sneaker releases are three new colorways in the Fatima model, all of which are part of the brand’s Polka Dot Pack. Included are black, cool grey, and brown options, each boasting a white polka dot print throughout the uppers, complimented with white laces and midsoles
I also appreciate the oddities and bizarness in fashion, but this might have crossed the line. Along with many others. This is the “Gizmo” skirt by Brian Lichtenberg. The skirt is done in grey tweed with ‘ear-pockets’ and swarovski crystal eyes in the shape of the Gizmo gremlin from the classic 1984 movie “Gremlins.” And if you’re curious to how much this little Frankenstein of a piece costs? Oh, $2,100.
V magazine previewed some photos from their issue “Page Six”, which is supposedly all about plus size models. It sounds like a great idea right? Like, let’s totally remember that not everyone looks like the average double 0 model, and that most women can be curvy. The only thing that happend me looking twice, was the fact that these “plus size” women, don’t really actually look like plus size. It could be a lot of nice touching up, but they look FREAKIN amazing and in gorgeous shape to me. Girl on the left just looks flat chested, and anorexic. Girl on the right looks in shape, and healthy, not to mention bigger busted. This “One Size Fits All” spread shot by Terry Richardson, Crystal Renn and Jacquelyn Jablonski. The “normal” model is put next to a “plus” size woman, “creating quite a sizeable comparison,” according to the press release. The point is to prove that “fashion can flatter any figure. Okay, can we just mention the sizes. Doesn’t look like a plus size and normal size measurements to me. Hmph.
Jacquelyn: 5 ft, 9 in; 32/24/34
Crystal Renn: 5 ft, 9 in; 36/31/41
