Pardon my FRENCH, but Hello Kitty is such a whore. Is there anybody she won’t hook up with?! She’s run the gamut when it comes to collaborations. What’s next, Tampax? (YES PLEASE.) Victoria Secret!?? (DOUBLE YES PLEASE.) Not that I’m complaining since I am a whore for Hello Kitty herself. She has now teamed up with Dr. Martens to celebrate Sanrio’s 50th anniversary with a limited edition release coming this July. There’s not a lot of info on this yet so I’m not sure if these three designs are the only ones to expect. My favorite is probably the character print. I spy Little Twin Stars, Badtz Maru, Tuxedo Sam and that weird Asian boy character. As for the Hello Kitty-themed boots, I like the idea of using her signature bow, but I think they could have executed it better. It’s missing something…Maybe if they used a larger bow and placed it in front of the shoe? Or used sexier shades of pink and blue for the soles? Made them in black PVC? Had a Hello Kitty imprint on the side of the boot? I’m just NEVER SATISFIED.
