Anyone know who this chick is? Besides a hot hot mess?

I’ll give you a hint. She ruined Senator John Edward’s chance of ever becoming President. Or a chance at any other position in office.  Call her what you want, hoodrat, ho, whore, slut, home wrecker, she is one of TOO many females out there running a muck with married men in power. I think we have an epidemic on our hands. And its getting dangerous.

Tiger dealt with them, Kobe Bryant, Josh Dumel. You name a hot power player, you find a ho that’s did some sort of scheming to get a head by giving….uhmmm. They even have their own lawyers and publicists demanding they receive an apology from the men who they did wrong. What the hell is going on through your heads ladies? Has the past not taught you anything? Do you not have any moral values? Is this really what you want to be known for? A pseudo-celebrity that got her fame by skanking her body out to MARRIED men. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think any of these men should be given a break. But as Kanye puts it

How you gonna stay faithful in a room full of hos?

Females: this is my plea. Please be productive and proactive in you life and do something GOOD with your god given talents. A married man is off-limits. A guy in any sort of relationship is off-limits. Chicks before dicks. Can we please have a girl code again?! Make it not cool to get on someone else’s man? Personal experience for all this rage, you ask? Nah. I just really can’t stand having someone’s mistress being in GQ magazine. That magazine should be ashamed of itself. We don’t need to hear her side of story, and she really shouldn’t have a chance to tell it. You slept with a married man. Enough said.

Anyone else out there, ANYWHERE, that is as fed up as I am?

I work way to damn hard to be independent to be compared to this….trash. Yup, I said it. Garbage.

Long Live McQueen!

Well folks, the wait is over. Your eyes are in for a visual feast. I’m usually never a lost for word in stating my opinion about something, anything, until now. It is obvious now that we have truly lost a true artist, visionary, and fashion leader. I feel incredibly lucky to have just been alive to have seen all that is Alexander McQueen. We can go in do depth about his inspirations, faults, and triumphs regarding his newest masterpiece, but I think its in better taste to let the art speak for itself. Bravo McQueen, may you live in our hearts forever.

I was wondering why no one was wearing Alexander McQueen at the Oscars. I would have if I was invited. Haha. (I dream big.) Anywho, Salma rocked in at the Vanity Fair party in one of McQueen’s creations from him Spring 2010 line. I just want to be able to touch one of these dresses. They look as if they defy gravity.

Oh and heads up fellow McQueen lovers. His last collection is scheduled to debut tonight at Paris Fashion Week. Of course, TLD will be all over it and get you the info we can. However, rumor has it, no photos will be allowed of the new collection. Might be pissed if they don’t let us see it.

I know the Oscars haven’t even started, but I’m stuck in bed with a sore back after falling down my stairs (long story). So here’s my list. I seem to just like the usual suspects on other people’s lists. Sure, Sandra looks drop dead gorg but it seemed too safe for me. I love the ladies that take chances with colors, textures, and silhouettes. Take Zoe Saldana above. She is officially one of my favorite fashionistas. This purple Givenchy is perfect for her. Ahh and the ombre dyed ruffles? Oui Oui!

I cannot get over how amazing this Chanel Haute Couture dress is. Diane Kruger looks stunning! She seems to love to take chances and her choices are always something to be talked about. Looks kinda like a creamy sexy cloud of silk puffs, but in a deliciously fabulous way.

The color! The ruffles! The fit! Yes! Yes! Yes! I love Marchesa and now I love Vera Farmiga. I also love how well this color looks against her skin complexion. It suits her well.

Cannot leave Carrie Bradshaw off this list. In my book, Sarah Jessica Parker can do no wrong, especially in this Chanel beauty. The color is a bold choice, and the neckline is also pretty risky, but SJP pulls it off. If anyone could, she can!

Now…what are your thoughts about my list? Did I get it absolutely wrong??

Christophe Decarnin makes it hot and sticks to what he knows best, sexy, sultry, and showstoppin show show stoppin get ups. They look alot like what we’ve seen from Balmain before, but I don’t really think that’s necessarily a bad thing. You know Beyonce will be getting her bootylicious-ness into most of these lovelies. I really love long sleeved mini dresses. Maybe because it adds a bit of class. Sure, your wearing a short dress, but not everything is out for the world to see. I kinda need this this fringe dress in my life. Like, NOW!

A photo of Marisa Miller is posted up  on my fridge as a motivator to not eat. Doesn’t really work. But she’s freaking hot. Probably  my favorite Victoria’s Secret lady. Ms. Miller nabbed the cover of Vegas Magazine and looks super fly. It’s nice to see her not is hot pink push-ups and in  more high-fashion looks. Im also diggin the light blonde hair and dark eyebrows. I’m currently trying to rock this look. Not sure if its working quite yet.

I was a tomboy. When I started to get attention for (my appearance) it was really uncomfortable because it wasn’t something I even knew what to do with…. I put my work hat on and I can do anything, but in my time off I’m not the girl that wants to be the center of attention.

Can you imagine wearing a gun around your neck? No one would F’ with you.  I’ve had the pleasure to see these balls-y beauties in person. Super dangerous and super rockin. I love love love everything about these concoctions. They’ve been seen in numerous fashion spreads and that new Mariah Carey video with Nicki Minaj Ninja. That bomb ass necklace Ninja is wearing? Gasoline Glamour. Rumor has it, Rihanna’s been eyeing a few of them. I could see her blinged out in nothing BUT a necklace. Below are more of the designs. Thoughts?

I hate to say this, but I debated for a good 15 minutes on whether or not to title this post “Fug or Fab” or “What the Hellz”. This William Tempest dress does not do Leona Lewis’ body good. Your prettier than this, lovely. I get it though. Fashion is getting edgier and edgier and Leona is just trying to keep up with Gaga, Rihanna, Beyonce, and Fergalicious. She really doesn’t need to. She has an amazing voice and shouldn’t take attention away from it with madness like this. Positive note: her face looks flawless. Below is the Spring 2010 dress from William Tempest’s line. Bleh.

Would you rock this futuristic fug-fest? Sorry. I couldn’t help myself.

Where all my broad shouldered gals at? If your like me, you have shoulders that are much wider than your hips. And right now, fashion wise, it kinda blows. All these strong shoulder garments, or one shouldered dresses (which someone told me are called ‘Wounded Solider”) just enhance my broad shoulders and it makes me feel a tad like a dude. That’s why I’m a huge advocate for dresses that emphasize hips, putting a balance back into the universe. Loose pockets, and the tulip cut flatter so well, I’m about to buy a few now, like this one from Etsy. Love!

For one of my fashion classes, I had to create a secondary line for a well-known designer. Everyone did the obvious, Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, not me. I made Mischief by Marchesa, a lingerie line based after the stunning cocktail dresses and red carpet ready gown. Needless to say, every season since that project, Marchesa had been an absolute favorite of mine. Its hard to explain why its so great, until you see the photos for yourself. Take the photo above. How can you not love? We’re bound to see some of these beauties on the Oscar red carpet. I’d put money on it.
