Music is something very near and dear to my heart. A simple song can change your whole mood. It can affect the way you live your life even if it’s only for 3 minutes and 44 seconds. Music is compelling. It’s an art form.
A lot of people imply that real music died with statements like “Hip Hop is Dead” or “Music isn’t how it used to be”. Well.. you’d be right, music isn’t how it USED to be, as time goes on, we evolve. but you’re wrong… Hip Hop, and any other genre of music is not dead. there are so many amazing artists to be heard and seen.
One of which is Lupe Fiasco. He is a genius with his music and unfortunately heavily slept on in the mainstream world. Take 3 minutes and 32 seconds out of your life and have a view of this awesome song & video.
If you’re into trippy videos, ridiculously silly lyrics, and semi catchy dance beats, you might like this.
aesthetically, this video pleases maybe 7 out of 10 of my artsenses but for whatever reason I keep getting drawn to this Amanda Blank character. She reminds me of someone. Can’t quite put my finger on it yet.
Lady G makes a grand appearance on the cover of Elle Magazine which releases on December 14th. Apparently she’ll be revealing the softer side by talking about babies and skin or something of that nature but that’s neither here, nor there.
Even though I love Gaga’s disobedience towards being sane and wearing pieces that would make the average person, trip, laugh, or in some cases hurl, I have to say I do love this so called “softer side”… Still edgy, but absolutely gorgeous.
I can’t wait to spend more money I don’t have on ELLE this month!
As Christmas time approaches so do the Holiday parties & events. Some of these parties are related to work, or school, and some for just our own personal pleasures. What may be most important to the fashionable (meaning those who love to look fierce in their own perspective) is having that perfect dress for each occasion. The next thing on the “important list”, being that some of us or budget ballers, is the cost.
Forever21 is definitely one of my favorite places to spend all of my money after tuition is paid. As a matter of fact, I think my favorite employee’s commission from my purchases alone is helping put her through college. They’ve got everything; casual, cocktail, flirty, sassy, sexy, and fun. Something for almost everyone. Forever21 isn’t a high end store, so the prices are very forgiving but you can definitely dress it up to look as if it were expensive.
Go behind the cut for more dresses & places to get them!
Nike is gracing us with the ability to access their iD vault via iPhone apps!
You can sift through thousands of designs by style, color, and size. What’s cool though, is that you can take a picture of your favorite painting, colorful skateboard, MAC make up, and with the photo match tool, it’ll match the colors and bring up a heap of shoes with the same color palette!
You can pick, personalize, save, share & email, and order/ship your shoes from the app!
Bored with the tired, same old, urban streetwear 2 designers decided they’d step out the box and create something innovative and fresh. In the winter of 2004, JEANTRIX co. was born.
First let me say, I’d totally rip this pink dress off of the model and wear it like now! With all the accessories and shoes too!
JEANTRIX brings everything! Fashion, art, fun, fierce, fly, dope.. they bring it all! I love the way the line embodies a sense of uniqueness without being completely ridiculous and unwearable. Jump after the cut for more pics!
My two favorite chicas are finally making music together!
Lady Gaga Ft. Beyonce - “Telephone”
I love this song so much! I’m probably a tad bias though since I worship the ground Beyonce stomps her 6″ heels on!
I think the beat is sick beyond belief! ( Produced by Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins ) & when Beyonce drops her segment it just gets even more amazing from there!
Writing was a little bit cheesy but it is a successful mix between hip hop and dance pop.
