Jeffrey Campbell Ninetynine

lds13472

I instantly fell in love with these built in wedge booties by Jeffrey Campbell. This ankle high bootie has a seamless pebbled leather that wraps from the ankle to the sole, a zippered top, a 4 inch heel and 1 inch platform at the toe. I really can’t wait for these to arrive at my doorstep so I can tear the package open and put them on my feet. I have been looking for a pair of wedges (nothing strappy) for a while and since I love things simple these Ninetynine’s were perfect. Will be perfect with tights, leggings, shorts, everything. If you follow our Twitter I’ll be sure to let you know when I get them. Honey, I know you’re going to be reading this and yes I did purchase them even though you think they look like terrible clogs. XO.

The Lovewright Co: The Local and The Loyal Spring 2010

lwrsp10_1

Independence is something The Lovewright Co. holds very dearly. Within truly independent individuals you will generally find the same traits. Certain strengths that they all carry with them. They are generally confident in themselves and in their abilities, comfortable in their own skin. In this way, the LWR. man is a local everywhere he goes. The “loyal” portion of this motto speaks to the more spiritual side of the man. He’s loyal to his family, friends, to himself and his beliefs. He is dedicated to his ideals and his work. His loyalty is what keeps him grounded and on the straight and narrow when the road gets rough. The Lovewright Co. was built on this belief. A belief that has carried it through both the good times and the bad. The Co. is proud to represent these Local and Loyal.”

Gentlemen you better get ready for this season because it will be The Co’s FIRST venture into denim, 13oz straight leg, and cut/sew apparel. Don’t forget that all The Co’s tees are completely custom made in the USA. You can get your hands on the tees and hats at both Tradition locations. Call Westlake at 805-497-4717 or Ventura at 805-643-8905 before you miss out.

Ask Miss Lady: What To Wear At The Office

Hi Ms Lady!

I would like to know how to make corporate attire more…fashionable. I work in a federal office and then in a corporate casual office. Basically I am always wearing a different top and dress pants or skirt. Maybe recommend some more fashion forward attire appropriate for these type of environments? and then maybe incorporating makeup for the office as well? Thanks for taking the time to read this!

C.

Hey C - You can read this post I did a while back on what to wear to work. Lately I have been shopping more at Express because they constantly have sales. Every time I go in I’ve left with new slacks and tops as a “buy 1 get 1 50% off” or with coupons. I think they have a lot thats very work appropriate and will still make you look stylish. There is more to choose from their selection and the quality is worlds better- as opposed to Forever 21. If you visit their web site you can find a “Must-Have Looks” section that has “Career Separates”. This will give you more ideas on top of the post I made. The above look that I created on Polyvore.com is based off my latest favorite outfit to wear to work. Sometimes it seems hard to not be so boring because it’s easier to change the top and still wear the same slacks or skirt. Branch out and find different cuts like skinny, wide leg, pencil skirts, a-line, and colors like grays, browns, and even patterns. Trust me - doing just that opens a whole bunch of doors and really helps you create many different outfits.

As far as make up goes I always keep it simple. Most of the time I wear liquid eyeliner, only on top, mascara, and a bit of blush. If I do wear any eyeshadow it is one color (no blending with any other colors) that is subtle but still makes my eyes pop. One of my favorite is Baked by Urban Decay. It’s a rich, shimmery bronze and doesn’t get all over the place when applying in a rush. As a supervisor, when I see employees rolling in late that are caked with make up ready to go to the club, all I can think about is how they could really save themselves time (and a write up) if they didn’t blast their faces. If you work in a federal office, and any corporate office, you want to appear serious about your work and not your face.

I hope this helps you out or atleast gives you more ideas!

Ruffle Fever At The Oscars

rufflefever

I hardly watched the Oscars tonight, in fact I decided to stop watching because I was a little bored. It is not that I don’t care about nominees/winners/all the hard work that goes into a movie, but I think I need a little more spice to keep my attention. Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin weren’t cutting it for me. I did tune in to see Sandra Bullock, Jeff Bridges, and The Hurt Locker win.

There were a lot of ruffles at the Oscars and once I saw Demi Moore walk out right after Elizabeth Banks, both in Versace gowns, I couldn’t take it anymore. Yes, they look great but I think they should have consulted eachother - or something. More ladies with a swirling fever? My girl Aimee has shown you Zoe Saldana, Diane Kruger, and Vera Farmiga in their ruffle explosions.

Christian Louboutin Mia Mirrored-Leather Shoulder Bag

cl_01

Atleast this would be handy in case of a make up emergency? I’m not very excited about this Christian Louboutin bag at all. It looks a little cheap and as we all know, this designer is NOT and comes with a nice price tag. You’ve got to wear it with the right outfit to pull it off. The bag has a frame, double chain handle, fold over flap with zippered pocket, signature double shoe clasp, and of course is lined in red twill.

All that is coming to my mind is a middle school dance and trying to rock this just as hard as the other girls wearing their backpack purses.

Get yours here for $960.

jordan-spizike-grey-pink-green-kids

Ladies! These Jordan Spiz’ike’s are made in Grade School sizes meaning we can cop a pair! The pink, turbo green, and grays really put this colorway together and I cannot wait to get mine in the mail. You can get them at Jordan Brand retailers for $115. If you’ve got a little mini me you can also get them in itty bitty 3.5 here at Flight Club. The green in the photo above is a little on the blue side, see the pic behind the cut.

I Love Dogs!

I saw this video over at The Hundreds and had to share. Dogs make my little heart warm. I’m sure some of you know I have two dachshunds, they are my life. It’s all the little things they do that make me smile, even when they are bad and run out the front door to do laps around the top floor of my complex.

I had wanted a dog for SO many years but could never have one because when I lived with my parents the answer was always, “NO.” I had found a silver dapple dachshund and fell in love with him but couldn’t have him. I remember crying that night because I knew my parents would be pissed and my boyfriends roommate was completely against it. Hey I really wanted a little booger in my life. Fast forward a few months, I found a gold dapple and couldn’t stop thinking about her. Perfect, I was moving out soon so I made an impulse decision and brought her home with me. My dad fell in love with her and gets giddy like a little school girl whenever I bring the dogs over. Really, I wish you could see how silly he gets.

Getting a dog was a lot tougher than I thought it would be but its nothing other than great - my dogs are my children. I worry about them whenever I’m not with them and always want to spoil them. Coming home to them is one of the best things, always happy to see me. The way they snuggle, it’s the best!

Hope you loved the video as much as I did!

Ke$ha At Erin Wasson X RVCA Fall 2010

24

Ke$ha showed up at the Erin Wasson x RVCA Fall 2010 came in a little leopard leotard, fishnets, and a biker jacket. She arrived with none other than ELLE’s Joe Zee who styled her for the night, pantless the night after a snowstorm. I’d like to get my hands on the boots, the rest of the outfit not so much a fan.

I’m going to go ahead and say this publically, I like Ke$ha. I don’t really care what anyone thinks. She may be really ridiculous, have the worst lyrics in the world, and you hate her, but I get an absolute kick out of her album. Yea the album and I own it - WUT. Here is a bit of lyric for you: “D-I-N-O-S-A, YOU ARE A DINOSAUR… HITTIN ON ME WHAT…” - how can you not just laugh?! Have some humor, get over it, and move on. She probably won’t be around long anyways but hey she’s made it some how and I’m still sitting behind a computer.

More pics of this crazy girl behind the cut.

Fug Or Fab: Ice Princess Stud Boot

double

Even though I was a child and really can’t remember much about the 80’s, I will always always love the era. For a lot of people it was a time of bad hair, music, and clothing. Now we embrace the outrageous fashion that managed to make “The 80’s” mainstream. The clothing was really a way for people to express their creativity and individuality, and that is one of the things I love most.

I found these amazing boots at Nasty Gal and am SO bummed that they’re a half size too small. My asian feet are little but dang I can’t squeeze into these babies. For you ladies that are a size 6 and are as much in love with these metallic baby blues as I, better rush and make the purchase ASAP because they are the only pair available.

If you do buy, be sure to send me a picture of you in them to make me drool.

Hey You Little Sex Pot

bra

I don’t know what it is that draws me into Victoria’s Secret, especially when I don’t need to buy anything. It might be all the bright colors, the huge posters of scantily clad women, or that I have a shopping problem. Either way, lace bras are at the top of my list because summer is just around the corner and my favorite kind of bra to wear is one that lets the girls breathe and still makes me feel like a special lady. The wide band on this bralette is extremely comfortable. Perfect to wear with a wife beater on a hot summer day. Get yours here for $18.
