Last night’s show at The Gibson with J*DaVey was amazing! Wow, crowd was dope, although a couple party foulers wanted to ruin it for some of us, it was still an amazing time. J*DaVeY released a video for their newest single “Get Together”. Can I say I’m in love? You can download their newest mixtape here, with “Get Together” on it.
This $3,000 is no joke, it’s really a Louis Vuitton bag. Louis Vuitton’s Raindrop Besace bag/purse is a waterproof draw-string bag that to us looks a lot like a designer trash bag with its detachable leather shoulder strap and goldtone hardware. It comes in gray and brown with the LV logo printed on the front. Really though, were baffled. Is this real? Thoughts?
I mentioned almost a year ago that Amy Winehouse was to be rumored to be designing for some brands, and I hadn’t heard anything since….until now. Whether you like the chick or not, she does have an amazing voice and is very musically talented. I don’t know how talented she is in the fashion industry, since her fashion choices of old raggedy jeans, tank tops and ballet flats aren’t necessarily amazing. She is degining for British designer Fred Perry which is supposed to be out this October.
““Amy has been wearing Fred Perry for years, so we were aware she was a genuine fan of the brand,” Richard Martin, Fred Perry’s marketing director, told WWD. “Amy has a unique sense of style that reflects the brand’s own historical reference points.”

It seems like Irregular Choice seems to be coming up in our Yay vs Nay posts alot, exactly for the reason that they are very irregular choices. With these though, I’m slight in between the feeling of disgust, and the feeling of wanting to just try them on to see how they feel. They are neither fug nor cute. What do yall think? $248 at Freepeople.

There isn’t one piece from any Jean-Charles de Castelajac’s collection that I don’t like. Between the pirates, and the bambi’s- they are all amazing pieces of art as well as fashion. Some of these pieces remind me of hunting wear, disneyland uniforms, and stained glass dresses- which all equal amaziness. Um, those Bambi flats?!??! CAN I GET A PAIR, OR TWO!?

These dresses are so similar, you can’t even tell which one is the designer Herve Leger dress, and which is the knock off. The beauty in fashion! The Herve Leger gold one shoulder dress was at $1690, but it is now sold out. No worries or tears, Express has a similar (pretty much the same thing) for $79,90.

This collection looks like a mix between the abominable snowman, eskimo community and some shiz I can’t even go on to describe. Not all the pieces are as bad as the big fury costumes, and some of the furry go go boots are actually cute. I think the fur shorts put me over edge. Me being a total anti-fur activist, this kind of disgusts me. But when reading this on Style, I was slightly relieved:
“The Karl conceit of the season, no surprises, was an in-every-way extravagant play on Coco in cold weather. Using more fur than he’d even flung at Fendi—the twist being that here the fur was fake—Lagerfeld steered this collection nearer to couture than ready-to-wear than ever. Fur was woven into brown tweeds; formed deep pelmets on the lower half of leather jackets; became almost igloo-shaped capes, bonnets, even—for goodness’ sake—furry trousers. Meanwhile, the suit and coat combinations also had a level of lavish elaboration usually reserved for haute eveningwear. Fur-fringed embroideries and ice jewelry conspired to create intensely worked ruffled and beaded silhouettes that glinted with rock-crystal neckpieces and fistfuls of rings. Somewhere in there, a flash of translucent silver seemed to be a clutch in which the quilting of the CC classic bag had been frozen into the likeness of a refrigerator ice cube tray.”
Seriously, how crazy would you go if you got a pair of shoes with REAL candy!? Well Arajevo designer Belma Arnautović has created a collection of shoes including these candy-filled heels. To die for!
There is something about hearts on shoes that gets me every time! There is something even cuter about GREEN heels with red accent! I love them! Although they aren’t as affordable as I wished they would be, $395 for some cute wedges isn’t bad. If you’re feeling them , grab them over at Piperlime.
Last Thursday we celebrated the launch of our newest sister site, VIMBY Shop. Good times, great people, great music brought by Shiva, Spintelect and a little bit of Reflex, and the best part? The Photobooth! Here is a look at some of the photos of some of our own (Aimee, Kymby and myself). You can check out the rest here. Also, shouts to Nathaniel Taylor Photography for the photos!
