Check out this dress by designer Tina Sparkles made completely out of computer wires for the Keep Austin Beautiful Recycled Fashion Show.
Made mostly of recycled computer wiring, the Systems Supernova dress addresses the growing problem of e-waste in American culture and explores the concept of systems thinking as it relates to our ecosystem. Each computer wire is situated in a closed loop system that interacts with all the other systems within the dress. Movement within one system influences other parts of the whole.

I was more than fortunate to get the backstage dirt at Daisy Gonzalez’s fashion show at the Music Box in Hollywood this past Saturday. She showed along side bathing suit designer Chea Keo. The scene backstage was actually alot more relaxed than expected. Daisy was working on the order the models walk in while makeup artists and hair stylists effortlessly did their thing. Seeing the collection up close in personal was such a treat! My first reaction was how much it reminded me of Alexander McQueen’s final collection.

Hello Kitty and Girl Skateboards teamed up to make a commemorative board in celebration of this cute cat’s 35 years . The collection consists of a deck, wheels, and tee. You can see the deck has HK herself along with her buddies collaged all over - my favorite is the lion! The front of the deck is simple with a red background and HK holding an apple with the Girl logo. The tee is black with the same graphics as the back of the deck and the wheels are blue. I remember seeing a photo of Mike Carroll last year holding the deck and had been waiting for it’s release to see a better photo. Definetly think that guys should pick this up because what else says you can get in touch with your feminine fuzzy side than an adorable board like this? Available at Atlas.

I’m not a ever really a fan of brand endorsed cell phones, but I’m actually really feeling this one. The case is cute, and of course how could you not love the Versace logo? Hand assembly is an obvious standard feature, as is the Medusa-embossed leather back. LG is responsible for putting together the innards, including the 3-inch display and 5 megapixel camera- and it will also be released in black. The phone will be avilable this June 2010 in fine jewelry shops and Versace flagship boutiques. No word on which provider it will be available for yet. (via)

Have an extra $450 laying around? Well, you can save it, or pay it towards your credit card. OR you can buy this YSL power adapter? Because you NEVER know when you’ll need one. The Yves Saint Laurent travel adapter goes for $50 and is a one-piece electrical dual-voltage plug adapter that connects gadget to outlet in any combination in more than 150 countries (Japanese cellphone to American outlet, German shaver to Australian socket). The circular device swivels to each region’s plug, and a leather bag available in fuchsia, black and violet provides the panache. (via)

I’m assuming we’re all adults here so this is to the single ladies who are already over Valentine’s Day. You may want to invest in ohmibod, the wireless ipod vibrator which I haven’t tried for myself, but I’m convinced that it’s a good deal based on the testimonials and ads. If that doesn’t to the trick then a traditional box of chocolates will.

I’m still in the processing of saving up some dough to buy a new MAC, so I’ve already got my eyes on some of these deals. Although I love the look of random collections of stickers and decals on laptops, I think I like the cleaner look of one dope, bigger decal. Love the snow white one! They cost about $15 each, so take a look!
