Last night’s show at The Gibson with J*DaVey was amazing! Wow, crowd was dope, although a couple party foulers wanted to ruin it for some of us, it was still an amazing time. J*DaVeY released a video for their newest single “Get Together”. Can I say I’m in love? You can download their newest mixtape here, with “Get Together” on it.

I mentioned almost a year ago that Amy Winehouse was to be rumored to be designing for some brands, and I hadn’t heard anything since….until now. Whether you like the chick or not, she does have an amazing voice and is very musically talented. I don’t know how talented she is in the fashion industry, since her fashion choices of old raggedy jeans, tank tops and ballet flats aren’t necessarily amazing. She is degining for British designer Fred Perry which is supposed to be out this October.

““Amy has been wearing Fred Perry for years, so we were aware she was a genuine fan of the brand,” Richard Martin, Fred Perry’s marketing director, told WWD. “Amy has a unique sense of style that reflects the brand’s own historical reference points.”

Oh, these are good days. Any day I discover some good music, a good artist, a fab designer- my heart skips a beat. I discovered El Perro Del Mar skipping the blog world, as usual. She reminds me of a mix of some Lykke Li, The XX and something else.. So listen, and download if you’re feelin’ it!

Wow, I never thought I would say this, but Gaga looks absolutely breathe taking! It looks like she took a step away for a brief moment from the crazy costume’s, and stepped into a cute LBD, with normal make-up. Although we do all love her crazy outfits, there’s something sweet and cute about her in simple clothing.

On her ex boyfriend :
“I had a boyfriend who told me I’d never succeed, never be nominated for a Grammy, never have a hit song, and that he hoped I’d fail. I said to him, ‘Someday, when we’re not together, you won’t be able to order a cup of coffee a the fucking deli without hearing or seeing me.”

On her career:
“I ate shit for so long, being told I didn’t fit the mold and that I was ‘too pop’ or ‘too theater’…I’ve always been delusionally ambitious to the point where people don’t understand me.”

There are tons of questions we want to ask Lady Gaga. After all, she’s one of the most fascinating music artists
we’ve ever seen. And unlike most people who are given that title, she actually manages to live up to it—she’s a true artist—while still singing ultracatchy pop songs that make it impossible not to dance. She’s kind of a genius… but she’s also kind of bizarre. Who is she, really? We plan to find out.

But as we wait for her to meet us at a chic Las Vegas sushi restaurant, we’re completely preoccupied with the most obvious question of all: What the hell will she be wearing? That translucent bubble dress, a bra that shoots sparks, lingerie that oozes fake blood—Gaga never looks boring. In fact, we’d be shocked if she’s so much as touched a pair of sweat pants in her life.

Sadly, there are no pyrotechnics when we spot her strutting toward us in a pair of black shades, a skimpy bustier, and an impossibly tight vinyl miniskirt. Just as we realize we have no idea what to call her (though we bet “Stefani” will get us slapped), she stretches out a pale, delicate hand in our direction and declares “Gaga.” Of course.

We offer her a cocktail, but she has a soldout concert in a few hours, and she doesn’t want to drink before the show. Instead, she orders riceless sushi and dressingless salad. For Gaga, life is all about being in the spotlight… and why would she do anything to jeopardize that? “My friends joke that I’m dead until I get onstage,” she says. “I’m dead right now as you’re speaking to me.”

It’s a love hate relationship for me when it comes to white girls dipping their feet into rap music mainly because of preference and sensitive taste to good versus bad. And before you get all crayola crazy on me no it’s not because of their whiteness. It’s because of their corniness and inability for me to buy the hype. Yeah most rappers lie and put on a tough front but in all honesty, there is no easy way for me to believe a hot mess rebelling blonde to be a bad bitch or a gangster. If you haven’t noticed already I’m referring to the disaster called Ke$ha. I’m sorry sweetie but suburbia and street life just isn’t a convincing mix–at least not when you do it. LOL, and she’s not even a rapper, just a sloppy ass mess! But when I google searched “white girl rappers” keesha picture popped up! So after this hot mess I’ve decided to recognize the few white girls (and one recent white guy) out here who are way more freaky, fun and far better, if not with the lyrics then, at least with the steez. Hope ya enjoy and I’d love to see some of your own lists!
