The spirit of the late great Alexander McQueen definitely still lives on. And these gold winged leather peep toes are the perfect shoes. These $1,285 boots are made with a 5inch heels, front zipper, the iconic Alexander Mcqueen skul zipper and of course golden wings on each side. Ya dig?
These booties were a collaboration between Iris Van Herpen and United Nude following the style first seen by Balenciaga and Alexander McQueen. These were in the Iris Van Herpen 2010 show and feature a coil theme which I actually like a lot. I wouldn’t necessarily wear these (unless someone wanted to donate?) but I think they’re interesting. Behind the cut you’ll see them in black that fades to gold, which I think make them look cheaper. The gold is a lot more intricate looking and more resembles a coil.

Ms. Tyra Banks posted her tribute to the late, great Alexander McQueen on her blog earlier this week. Of course, the photos came out amazing but I’d like to see her in the lobster heels and fish dresses. She teamed up with Andre Leon Tally and the cutest little girl ever. She steals the photos for me. Too cute. Tyra explained her inspiration for the shoot.
It’s old royal fashion meets new royal looks designed by fashion royalty. McQueen had a flare for the dramatic and a love for fantasy. I would like to think that he would have loved these photos.

So pretty! Cate Blanchett wore this remarkable McQueen gown to the premiere of her new flick Robin Hood at the Cannes Film Festival. The late great designer made the dress specially for Cate before his unfortunate passing. It is outstanding! I don’t care too much for birds of any sort on garments but the eagle is just stunning.

I like , I like! These chonies were designed by the late great McQueen, and are scheduled to be up for sale at 120 stores for $52.50 each or pajam sets for $555.. A percentage of the McQueen mesn briefs collections profits will be donted to various AIDS charity funds.
Signature design details include skulls on the waistband of boxers and briefs and allover prints of feathers, X-rays and a collage of bones also used extensively in his last men’s runway collection staged in Milan in January.
