Well folks, the wait is over. Your eyes are in for a visual feast. I’m usually never a lost for word in stating my opinion about something, anything, until now. It is obvious now that we have truly lost a true artist, visionary, and fashion leader. I feel incredibly lucky to have just been alive to have seen all that is Alexander McQueen. We can go in do depth about his inspirations, faults, and triumphs regarding his newest masterpiece, but I think its in better taste to let the art speak for itself. Bravo McQueen, may you live in our hearts forever.
I was wondering why no one was wearing Alexander McQueen at the Oscars. I would have if I was invited. Haha. (I dream big.) Anywho, Salma rocked in at the Vanity Fair party in one of McQueen’s creations from him Spring 2010 line. I just want to be able to touch one of these dresses. They look as if they defy gravity.
Oh and heads up fellow McQueen lovers. His last collection is scheduled to debut tonight at Paris Fashion Week. Of course, TLD will be all over it and get you the info we can. However, rumor has it, no photos will be allowed of the new collection. Might be pissed if they don’t let us see it.

This looks like the ultimate event. Not only did Naomi Campbell hold this Fashion For Relief Charity show for NYFW, but she also ended it with an Alexander McQueen tribute. Model Agyness Deyn ate shiz, while Kelly Osborne looked absolutely fab! Celebrities who were there included Chris Brown, Alan Cumming, Olivia Palermo and more. Wow!
It’s a sad day in fashion… one of our favorite designers, whom we very often feature on The Lipstick Diaries took his own life. Brittish designer Alexander McQueen was found dead at his flat in London, and is believed to have hung himself. Rumors are going around that it may be due to his mother passing only a couple days prior. On 3 February 2010, he wrote on his Twitter page that his mother had passed away the day before, adding: “RIP mumxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.” Four days later he wrote that he had had an “awful week” but said “friends have been great”, adding: “now i have to some how pull myself together”.
He received his Masters degree in Fashion design and famously, his graduation collection was bought in its entirety by influential fashion stylist Isabella Blow, who was said to have persuaded McQueen to change his name from Lee to Alexander (his middle name) when he subsequently launched his fashion career.Icelandic singer Björk sought McQueen’s work for the cover of her album Homogenic in 1997.

I am pretty sure I am expressed my love for this adorable peep toe pump by Alexander Mcqueen. Of course, not everyone can afford a $370 shoe (originally priced at $910). Luckily, there is an almost identical knock off for only $39. What more could you ask for?
Jeffrey Campbell does it again, always coming correct with the bizzarro shoes! These 99 Zip Bootie remind me of the runway shoes worn in Alexander McQueen’s Spring 2010 collection, no? Usually promoting another fashion blog would be a tad weird but this, my little grasshoppers, isn’t your average fashion blog. It might be my mad love for her but when I first heard that Mariel Haenn was writing a blog, along with other celebrities for Tanqueray, I swore I peed my pants. She gives us all a look behind the scenes of fashion shows and it is amazing. Not only can you hear her opinion of what she thinks of Alexander McQueen’s spring 2010 show (which she, of course, loved) but she shows photos of piles of those infamous lobster claw heels.
