Gisele Bundchen launches skin line

gisele-bundchen-1024x768-18172

Victoria’s Secret model Gisele Bundchen will be launching an eco-friendly beauty line called Sejaa Pure Skincare , today! Gisele says the line will uses all-natural ingredients, “thoughtful” packaging” and recycled paper. Who knows what kind of input models/celebrities put into their own brands or collections, but I’m liking the “all-natural” idea of this.

Fiery red for Kat Von D

katvond-tld

From black, to streaks, to blonde and now fiery red, I think Kat has hit the spot. Although I loved how black looked on her, I am totally feeling this color way more! I considered going this color a while ago, but I think it looks much better with fair and light skin tones. What do you guys think?

Home Remedies for Hair Loss

hairlosstip12

I have a lot of hair, but my hair has been falling off  a lot lately. I’m not a fan of hair products, so I decided to do some research and take care of it on my own. I found the cause of hair loss and a few simple steps you can try from your own home! ;)

These are the most common causes for hair loss: Stress, hormonal changes, hair products, poor diet, medicine,  & genes.

Facts:

-It’s normal to lose around 50 to 100 hairs per day.

-No product will make your hair grow or make it thicker.

-Hair loss begins around the ages of 12 to 40.

-Normal haircare doesn’t affect hair loss.

DO’s:

Rub Olive, Almond & Coconut oils into scalp. Repeat 3 times a week.

Introducing… Vajazzling

vajazzling-TLD

So Jennifer Love Hewitt started this craze with “vajazzling”, and now every company and spa is trying to get on it! So now you can dye your pubes pink, and vajazzle them all at the same time. For what purpose? I have no idea..but their are people who will get on it. What do you think?

Bryce Gruber of The Luxury Spot, www.theluxuryspot.com a widely read online lifestyle site, became the first member of the media to experience the latest in personal grooming, Vajazzling.

She was sent by Spa Week Daily, www.spaweekdaily.com, to cover one of the treatments that’ll be offered during Spa Week Spring 2010, April 12-18, when spa treatments are just $50 a piece at participating spas across the country. Gruber headed to Completely Bare on Bond Street (www.completelybare.com) to try their newest service, Vajazzling, which is the bedazzling of the area which gets waxed when getting a bikini wax (or more) by adding crystals and beads to the nether regions.

A play on bedazzling and a part of the female body, Vajazzling is the adornment of crystals and beads to the bikini area after waxing According to the Completely Bare website, “Accessorizing your privates is the hottest rage. From crystal flowers to customized favorites, you too can now decorate your own jewels. Whether it’s a special occasion or you just want to sparkle everywhere, you can choose from an assortment of real Swarovski crystal designs so you can shimmer and shine.”

Gruber stated: “I’m here to cover up my C section scar. I’m here to give the women of America options.”

Guess Who?

dita-von_teese-nomakeup

We all get pretty shocked when we see tabloids with photos of celebrities without make-up. Some look fabulous and sometimes even better without make up, and some…well look like a hot mess. No denial in the fact that a lot of these celebrities have some of the best in make-up, and make-up artist’s, which most of us don’t. They also have top of the line skin products, which is even more important then make-up sometimes. Anyway, I found an early photo of Megan Fox (without makeup and possibly without surgery ) which shocked many of our readers. I found another great photo of a celebrity with no make-up. Can you guess who it is?

The Power of make-up

powerful-makeup

So, it wasn’t very long ago that I had a talk with my girl Kymby and one of our guy friends, on what he thought about women who wear make-up. He went on about how he really liked women who wore a lot of make-up, and thought it made the majority of women way more attractive. Kymby and I went on to say how we thought it could  transform someone into looking like a completely different person. He told how he met a girl, brought her home, did the do, and had make-up all over his face. She then came out, and looked like a stranger. My point? I really don’t have one, I love make-up, I love that woman can have the ability to beautify themselves. I have my monthly breaks of bad skin, and my mineral make-up saves me from looking like pizza face sometimes. Feminist Franny comes out, and says why can’t our natural beauty be accepted? With all the concealer, powder, mineral shiz, foundation etc, some of us who rock  the natural look are looked down as unattractive. Anyway, this was more of a rant then a productive piece of writing, but check out how this chick transforms her self with make-up. I was pretty surprised. On another note though, I don’t think make-up is completely misleading, because if a guy is attracted to me, he’s probably attracted to the shape of my face, my eyes, my lips, etc. Make-up doesn’t transform your features, it just emphasizes them right? Make-up is f*cking amazing ya’ll!!!

Top 5 Beauty Home Remedies

blackheads_cucumbers

I am a huge fan of home remedy recipes. I’m all about them! I recently used my favorite home remedy, which was the hot Avacado and Coconut Oil deep conditioner for my hair. Love it! I’ve done a couple versions of this, but here is another round up, and it’s different! Here are my top 5 favorite beauty home remedies.

1) Natural remedies for black heads: An ideal mask that extracts dirt and oil from clogged pores can be made by using orange peel and yogurt. It also opens up the clogged pores that cause acne and blackheads. Take 2 tablespoons of orange peel powder and add 4 tablespoons of yoghurt to make a paste. Apply all over the face, while gently rubbing in circular motion. Wash off with cold water. An excellent way to prevent clogged pores. and keep the skin clean and healthy.

b)Take Half cup of mashed papaya, One fourth cup of grated cucumber and five mashed strawberries. Make a mixture and add half cup cornmeal or rice powder and juice of lime. Keep the mixture in the refrigerator for 30 minutes and then apply it gently on face and neck for another half an hour and then wash it off.

2) Natural remedy for white heads: Make a paste of roasted & powdered pomegranate, mix it with fresh lime juice and apply over whiteheads. You can a facial steamer or take hot water in a pan, cover your head with a towel and let your face receive a light steam. This will help in losing whiteheads and cleaning the pores of the skin.
