I don’t even really know the technical color term for this style, but I know that I’ve been seeing it way more often on women. I was rocking this look back in 2000 when I procrastinated on my orange hair color, and let it grow out half way. Apparently, it’s the new hot thing. I’m not sure if you actually really let it grow out to achieve this look, or if you dye it to be this way- but I actually kind of like it. Sort of um…grungy?

I bought this serum out of straight impulse. Sure, I can spend over 1 hour in the hair hair isle at CVS, and this is what I walked out with. I have never tried Organix products, but I love smelling the different scents just for fun. Coconut, green tea pomegranate, they all just LOOK amazing. So I decided to finally give this product a try. I have been trying to grow out my hair for over 3 years now, and no matter how many times I trim and deep condition it, it just won’t go past my mid back. I think it has everything to do with my split ends. So I decided to go for this “anti-breakage” serum. It’s amazing, and for only $5, it’s totally worth it.
Organix Coconut Milk Anti-Breakage Serum is a unique formula which helps repair damaged hair and cuticles, and mend split ends and frizziness. This totally indulgent blend of organic weightless coconut oil and silk and keratin proteins promotes longer hair by helping reduce everyday damage while adding strength and elasticity to weak and brittle hair.
Directions: After you towel dry your hair, simply put one drop and rub it in the ends. I try to avoid my roots and the top of my hair because my hair is prone to oil. Grab it!

Summer is one of my favorite seasons, and living in LA, it seems that Summer is pretty much year round. Beautiful weather, pool parties and bbq’s, it’s important to have your “must haves” with you at all times. Here are a couple of my must haves for the Summer. If you have your own tips or products, leave a comment and share with our readers!

Playtex Petals
I got a sample in the mail of these from Playtex, and tried it out. Basically, these are great for anytime of the year when your lady friends needs a little “refreshing”. Spent the day at a BBQ all day and need a little extra somethin somethin? These pocket sized wipes are great, and smell fantastic. Have a date night and don’t have time to shower? These are great!

TRESemme FreshStart Waterless Foam Shampoo
Waterless shampoo? Brilliant! Takes 3 minutes, and makes your hair feel amazing and clean again without actually having to hop in the shower! TRESemme Fresh Start Waterless Foam Shampoo is the perfect solution to clean hair without water anytime. The unique formula, with Witch Hazel, Citrus and Aloe Vera refreshes your hair by removing excess oil, impurities and odor while moisturizing hair. Marc Jacobs Daisy
Looking for a light, flirty Summer fragrance? I love Marc Jacobs’ Daisy perfume!

Sweet Heart Sunglasses
I can’t tell you how much I LOVE heart sunglasses! As a kid I rocked them, and they are totally the best Summer fun sunglasses. For $10, how could you not?

Dove Go Fresh Body Mist Water Lily & Freshmint:
I love Dove’s Body Mist spray because it’s great for those hot days, when you need an extra refreshment. Spray on your body, face, and pretty much anywhere else. It smells great and fresh! Each bottle goes for about $4 at your local drug store.

Oh Botox, Hollywood’s easy way of looking “young and fresh”. I’m not against botox, I just have never seen a good botox job done. To me, you look like a stiff rubber face with no facial expressions. Now, for all the bashing- I think it’s fair to say that when I get old and gray, and wrinkles take over my face- I might have to result to Botox. But I think I have a while to go for that.
I read this story about Charice Pempengco who is supposed to debut on Glee, and I was shocked. Apparently, in preparation for her big debut, the singer receieved Botox and an anti-aging procedure “to look fresh on camera,” but her publicist said the Botox was for muscle pain, not for cosmetic reasons. She underwent a 30-minute Thermage skin-tightening procedure and Botox injections to make her “naturally round face” more narrow, celebrity cosmetic surgeon Vicki Belo told ABS-CBN television.
I’m sorry… but muscle pain? I’m not buying it. Sure, you’re legally an adult, but at 18, your face is still changing! My face has changed dramatically since I was 18. I’ve always had a rounder and “thicker” face ( I have huge cheeks and dimples). Injecting poison into your face that young could only lead to nasty effects.
Whats your opinion? Is it a big deal? Whats too young? What do you think about Botox?

Flaunt your Body Part 1 was based on learning ways to flaunt the bottom part of our bodies to have a curvier look. It was great to know readers were satisfied with the results. I was asked to share tips focusing on the chest area to have a bustier look. Hope these tips help, ladies!
What to wear:
Wearing the right push-up bra is one of the best ways to accomplish this look. But of course, the bra is not the only thing to worry about. Also knowing what type of clothes to wear is important, too.
Design: Ruffled, slashed and lacy necklines, layered, sequin, horizontal stripes, ect.
Tops and Dresses: Spaghetti strap, halter dresses are perfect for chest enhancement. Using a belt around the waist is part of the secret. Also, “empire waistline” dresses are great!
Colors: Lighter colors help a lot ( they will make any body part look bigger).
Make-up: YES, make-up!! “Apply eyeshadow or blusher, a shade darker than your skin tone, between the breasts to suggest shadows and cleavage. A touch of shimmery glitter on top of each breast will highlight the rounded top and make your chest look fuller”.

I love trying to skin products! There is nothing better then all natural skin products, free of nasty chemicals and ingredients you can’t pronounce.
The rundown: Josh Rosebrook’s skincare contains more active botanical extracts and pure essential oils, found in any other skin care lines. The more botanical ctracts and essential oils in a skincare product, the more vitamins, minerals, enzymes and nutrients are delivered deep into the skin o fight aging and skin damage. This specific forumula is made to soften, firm, clear and tone skin.
To Use: I removed all my make-up off my face, and washed my face. After drying my face, I simply applied the exfoliator and applied it in circular motions to scrub away the dead skin. I let it sit for 10 minutes (it can also be left for up to an hour for max results). After this, I rinsed with warm water and towel dried.
The Verdict: After leaving the exfoliator on for about 30 minutes, I washed off the product. I love the smell of it! Of course it’s not like your typical chemical and fragrance added product, but it smells natural and fresh. My face felt amazing! My skin felt soft and smooth, almost brand new!
This product comes in a 2 oz. container and retails for $48. You can buy this product at The Parlour in Los Angeles located on 8113 W. Third Street.

Every girl has a body part that gives them hell, am I right? It’s either too big, too small, too ______. My arms and thighs torture me every time I try to wear certain clothes. Sometimes I can’t wear strapless dresses because it looks like I’m about to go to war with my huge arms, nor can I wear shorts because my thighs will pop out everywhere. I have been trying to get rid of extra fat on my thighs and arms for a very long time now. For some reason, everything I eat is stored in those two parts and it’s difficult to get rid of. What part of your body gives you hell?

I know, you probably want me to stop bragging about my tropical vacation in Puerto Rico right? I still can’t get over the fact that just 3 days ago I was sipping rum out of coconut’s in the carribean, and now- I’m at a computer in gloomy Los Angeles. Anyway, I got tons of sunshine the all natural way of course. But since bronzed skin doesn’t last forever, I’m already thinking of ways to get this hot tan back. What’s your preference?
PS: If you’re an indoor tanner, you should probably know this!
Beginning Thursday, a new federal tax (10%) on indoor tanning goes in effect to help pay for health care reform. The new tax is on tanning booths using ultraviolet bulbs. It does not apply to spray tans or tanning products. The tax was a last minute addition to the Health Care Reform Bill and replaces a 5 percent tax on cosmetic surgery that was originally included in the bill.

I recently got back from vacation, and my face is definitely feeling the after effects. Between traveling, humid and hot weather, plus the sun- my skin has been off the wall! I can’t really afford to pay for hundreds of dollars worth of skin products, so I thought I would start by eating healthier again. There are definitely foods you want to avoid for bad skin (junk food, greasy food, etc) and foods that promote good skin. Here is a list of good face food, and why they are good.

MAC has some of the cutest collaborations! I Loved the Hello Kitty collabo (I own it), so I’m actually pretty excited for this one. This Villans collection includes Cruella De Ville of “101 Dalmations” fame, the Evil Queen from “Snow White,” Maleficient from “Sleeping Beauty” and Dr. Facilier from The Princess and the Frog.
There will be a total of 40 bold colours in the collection, including of lipstick, powder, lip gloss and blush shades, ranging in price from $12 to $29.50, and divided into four collections with the characters’ images. They will be available September 30th.
“Disney gave us the colors used when these characters were drawn throughout their history,” said Jennifer Balbier, vice president of product development for MAC, noting that Cruella and the Evil Queen share more “real woman” shades, such as red lips and peachy blush. Maleficent is “pure fantasy,” said Balbier, noting that offbeat purples, blackened shades and pearlized nails were used. Dr. Facilier headlines the new Magically Cool Liquid Powders. “This is a featherlight powder that goes on like a mist and either sets or enhances foundation, but also lends dimensionality on naked skin,” said Balbier.
