While browsing the web, and mostly being addicted to Hypem, I found an artist I’ve been addicted to for the past month or so. Usually I have a problem of playing out an album/artist so much that I actually begin to hate it, so I am trying to listento the XX with ease. Just a little background on the group, they are a band from England, and I guess you can categorize them under “indie rock/electronica”. It’s laidback, relaxing, and soothing- so if you need something to cool off to after a long day at work, you can do it with The XX. The woman and man who sing together on the tracks are perfect together, almost haunting-but very sensual. Anyway, check out some of their tracks for yourselves.

If you love the Jay-z version of “Empire state of mind”, but you were more of a fan of Alicia Keys part then Jigga mans, you will definitely fall in love with this song. Key’s album The Element Of Freedom drops 12.13.09
If you haven’t gotten the chance to buy the new Kid Sister album “Ultraviolet”, you should probably go ahead and do that. I will say that I haven’t had the chance to, but I did sample the album, and it sounds pretty decent. Many of the songs on the album are old and re-used (ie Pro Nails, Let me Bang, etc), but it’s still worth listening to. Thought I’d share my favorite song on the album.

Remixes are always a hit or miss, especially if you’re gonna call it a remix but I gotta say the Kid Cudi x Shakira “Did It Again” single is a definite winner in my music book! I’m having a hard time deciding whether I like it most because mister solo dolo shares his fantasies about the sexy hip shaker or because the energy in the music is freaking contagious. Whatever it is, it’s worth the listen.
