Love the purse? You can get a loan for that

purse

Short on cash? But dying for that adorable YSL bag? Can’t put it on your credit card? Fear no more, Hong Kong might be able to save you. A Hong Kong firm has launched a series of television commercials offering personal loans in exchange for ladies’ luxury handbags, a report said Monday. The company “Yes Lady Finance” will pay cash-strapped socialites up to 70% of the bag’s value with 28 percent annualised interest, the South China Morning Post said.

A Louis Vuitton handbag valued at $2,600 in the second-hand market would fetch a $1,800 3 month loan, the paper said, adding that owners would lose the bags if they failed to settle the debt on time.

“It is a good fund-raising option for some tai-tais,” company co-founder Wallace Tung was quoted as saying, referring to a slang term for the wives of wealthy Hong Kong businessmen. “They may not want to sell their handbags, which may be a gift from husbands and mean a lot to them.” This will most likely put more women in debt, but it’s worth a try. Down side is, if you fail to pay any payments on the loan, you will have to forfeit the bag. Can we say, don’t front?    [Via]

tarina-tarantino-fall-09-gun purse

Have never been a huge fan of Tarina Tarantino, but I can definitely get with her handbag collection. When I worked at  a doggy day spa place, we sold Tarina Tarantino for dogs- and I hated it!

For Fall 2009 the leather accessories collection is meant to compliment the handbag collection which takes cues from the jewelry and accessories collection. The leather collection features wallets, key chains, clutches and wristlets made of the finest Italian leathers and handmade in the Sparkle Factory in downtown Los Angeles featuring crystals and cameos accent. Special details like scalloped edging and metallic piping make these a truly unique addition to any wardrobe. Also returning this season is a limited release Dollskin Leather Accessories group with bows and hearts to complete the sweet doll-like look. Look out for the pieces starting July at Tarina Tarantino stores.

It looks like they’re might be a rebel 8 collab/bite? I don’t know, take a look below.

Maserati x Momaboma Exclusive Handbag and Eco-Friendly

33u6czc

Female car-fashionistas rejoice; Maserati has joined forces with Momaboma, an Italian firm that creates unique handbags and accessories exclusively out of vintage materials, such as old newspapers, magazines and clothes, to introduce a new limited edition handbag.
What’s so special about this ‘femme-fatale’ bag is that it is made of old brochures recovered from the Maserati archives. Produced in a limited edition of 150 copies, the hand-made Momaboma eco-bag goes on sale today with a retail price of £130 or nearly $190.

This is surprising collaboration, especially since a Maserati sports car usually gets about 15MPG (average). It’s nice to see some eco-friendly products. This might be worth a lot of money one day, so you better cop yours now.
