How did I miss the casting for this?!?!?! I mean I WAS born in Jersey and I AM Asian. I need to get on my Craigslist game because back in April, Tyrese’s production company posted the notice looking for “interesting, attractive, colorful Asian-Americans to cast in a reality show similar to ‘Jersey Shore’ … attractive Asian-Americans with lively, strong and unique personality … especially individuals who know about and/or experienced the Koreatown life. If you are not Asian but are obsessed with Asian culture or people in some way, email us and please explain.”
For casting people came from Staten Island, the Bronx, North Carolina with nicknames for themselves like “SituASIAN”, “Miss Gossip”, and the “Alcoholic Puppy”? Eh.. really? Well SituASIAN did not get casted but Peter Le, the Asian version of The Situation, DID. He’s just as buff and full of himself too. Oh and Tyrese is really the man behind this show - yes I am talking about the former model Tyrese. In an interview he states that his motivation behind the show is basically to help get Asians on TV as they deserve to be on TV like everyone else and are “still fighting to get their faces in mainstream media.” He has an invested interest, with no money involved, in giving asians their own shot. I’m not sure how I feel about this, I’m a little perturbed. But maybe for Season 2 I can be the Asian version of Snooki?
