I am more than obsessed with this Marchesa mini that Nikki Reed wore to some Twilight Premiere. Sorry. I’m not going to pretend I care about the movie one bit. I’m not on a team anyone. Both boys look like they need to shower and that they smell ridiculously bad. I am excited to see the young, hot fashion though. Nikki kinda did it for me. Don’t need to see anyone else, especially the one girl who probably smells worse than the vamp boy and wolf boy combined, Kristen Stewart. I have a motto, well I have two. The first is, “When in doubt, go nude.” Meaning wear nude shoes, they make your legs look longer. The second is, “When in doubt, go Marchesa.” You’ll be on the best dressed list with-out-a-doubt!

I don’t know how I feel about this one. I am a huge fan of Marchesa and one half of the design duo, Georgina Chapman, but am I fan of this dress? I don’t know yet. The neckline is stunning but the bottom just baffles me. What happens if she lifts her arm? I see that under-skirt thing but what’s really the point of the scalloped bottom? Too many questions for one dress. She does look amazing though. Harvey Weinstein is a lucky dude.
What’s your opinion on the designer in her Marchesa get-up?

I know the Oscars haven’t even started, but I’m stuck in bed with a sore back after falling down my stairs (long story). So here’s my list. I seem to just like the usual suspects on other people’s lists. Sure, Sandra looks drop dead gorg but it seemed too safe for me. I love the ladies that take chances with colors, textures, and silhouettes. Take Zoe Saldana above. She is officially one of my favorite fashionistas. This purple Givenchy is perfect for her. Ahh and the ombre dyed ruffles? Oui Oui!

I cannot get over how amazing this Chanel Haute Couture dress is. Diane Kruger looks stunning! She seems to love to take chances and her choices are always something to be talked about. Looks kinda like a creamy sexy cloud of silk puffs, but in a deliciously fabulous way.

The color! The ruffles! The fit! Yes! Yes! Yes! I love Marchesa and now I love Vera Farmiga. I also love how well this color looks against her skin complexion. It suits her well.

Cannot leave Carrie Bradshaw off this list. In my book, Sarah Jessica Parker can do no wrong, especially in this Chanel beauty. The color is a bold choice, and the neckline is also pretty risky, but SJP pulls it off. If anyone could, she can!
Now…what are your thoughts about my list? Did I get it absolutely wrong??

The Marchesa Fall 2010 Collection had to have been one of my favorite’s for the Fall 2010 lines. I think many others can agree with me too. Camilla Belle celebrating renowned fashion house Marchesa at Cecconi’s Restaurant, February 28, 2010. Camilla wears a white off shoulder dress with ruffled neckline and feather detail and carries a Karung corset frame clutch with hand beveled quartz crystal clasp. She finished the look with her Christian Louboutin’s, looking absolutely fabulous!

For one of my fashion classes, I had to create a secondary line for a well-known designer. Everyone did the obvious, Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, not me. I made Mischief by Marchesa, a lingerie line based after the stunning cocktail dresses and red carpet ready gown. Needless to say, every season since that project, Marchesa had been an absolute favorite of mine. Its hard to explain why its so great, until you see the photos for yourself. Take the photo above. How can you not love? We’re bound to see some of these beauties on the Oscar red carpet. I’d put money on it.
See more after the jump.

Blake Lively was rockin’ this Blazer jacket from Marchesa’s Spring/Summer 2010 collection at the screening of “The Private Lives of Pippa Lee” this week. With nothing under it, it actually looks pretty classy to me. I don’t know though, there is something off about it. Classy or trashy?

Hmmm…..This looks awfully familiar!
I love me some Marchesa, as I’ve said before, but Katy Perry’s gown looks like a longer version of Blake Lively mini-dress, am I right??
I might be a tad bias since my girl crush is Blake, but I am in LOVE LOVE LOVE with the feathered mini over the long gown.

I also think, even though she looks gorgeous, the gown isn’t really what I like to see Katy in. I prefer her in a watermelon dresses than this. Kinda is like seeing Gaga in a classic Armani gown. She’ll look great but not why we love her.
What do you think??
Blake or Katy??

Flawless. Gossip Girl’s Blake Lively looks absolutely stunning in this Marchesa mini. I decided that when I get married, my dress with be Marchesa. One of the most feminine, flirty, unique, yet underrated designer duos out there! I’m waiting for some sort of affordable Marchesa line at H&M or somewhere. (I won’t hold my breath though!)
I’m also really feeling the nude shoes. Whenever someone asks me what shoes to wear, my motto is “when in doubt, go nude!” Blake knows the rule. Makes her legs look like they go on for weeks (not days).
This dress is from their Spring 2010 collection and below are a few more favorites. Theses dresses are To. Die. For.

Hope you are now a big a fan as me!
xoxo

We just can’t get over Christian Louboutin today, mostly because they are coming out with some of the bangers! Usually when I think of see-through or transparent shoes, I think trashy and stripper. But these shoes are anything but that. They are beautiful and elegant. Christian Louboutin does another amazing collaboration with Marchesa for the spring/summer 2010 collection.
