I had been anticipating more photos of the cardigan that we got to see a little while back and it is finally that time! MTTM has released their Fall collection “M.O.B. Aime Les Sucettes” (translation: M.O.B. loves lollipops) after Serge Gainsbourg ode to “Annie”. This collection was “inspired by [their] love for schoolgirls, jet-setting, and the beautiful city of Paris, oui!” I love so many pieces from this collection so I went straight over to the store and picked up the cardigan as well as a few other pieces. I did have to hold myself down because “Fall 1″ means there is a “Fall 2″ - and I need to save some cash for round 2.
All I can say about this is, I want it. I haven’t stared at a knitted top/cardigan for as long as I stared at this one EVER. I love the button detailing on the back AND that it’s cropped! I can’t wait to see the rest of Married To The Mob’s collection. This little sneak peek is killing me. There’s a couple more pictures behind the cut - one of the collection on a rack, makes me want to jump in there and go through it.
With the success of the MTTM Hiromi Sneakers, it’s no surprise that MTTM and Lacoste are coming out with this collabo t-shirt. Married to the Mob’s Leah McSweeney has created this limited edition line of tees with Lacoste’s alligator logo with MTTB’s signature lipstick logo. It will come out in two colors- both black and white. The t-shirt is a v-neck cut, which is perfect for the summer. These limited edition t-shirts will be avilable at selected Lacosted boutqieus, and will be available on Married to the Mob’s webstore in July.
One of my favorite labels, Married to the Mob released this short film, sort of like a video look book for their Summer 2010 collection. This film features adult film star Faye Reagan (ok) and is fimed in New York City. Hmm..
Well we’ve teased you enough, after all that build-up from our little sneak peeks, we’re finally pleased to release the full feature to the public. The whole thing happened very organically, aside from Leah and myself, all we had was our director (Shawn Regruto!) & his modest film crew of two (Mat & Bob!), our homie Bugsy who was able to speak Russian to the locals, and perhaps most importantly, our star, Miss Faye Reagan. We trekked out on an overcast day and threw ideas back & fourth as we went, knowing only that our final destination would definitely be Coney Island in all of it’s run-down splendor. I’m absolutely in love with the finished product, and I think that most of you who watch it will be pleasantly surprised by it’s subtlety amidst such a vibrant summer collection.
Well someone got their little paws snapping away at the Burton showroom and Freshness Mag leaked the photos of the Married To The Mob x Burton collaboration. The collection will have a series of outerwear, layering shells, pants, and accessories covered in MTTM’s catchy slogans and lined in a red satin with Burton’s DRYRIDE insulation. Don’t forget the board! The bottom has “Well Behaved Bitches Seldom Make History” in big bold letters so let everyone know what’s up when you’re riding to the top of the mountain. The collection is set to be released in August.
I have been obsessed with this MTTM “The Attention Whore Sequined Jacket” ever since I laid eyes on it. I couldn’t bring myself to spend $300 no matter how much I wanted it - I was fighting myself (rent/car/etc > jacket). But now it’s on SALE and with no time to waste I made my purchase.

Married to the MOB delivered a dope Spring collection, and it doesn’t stop there; a second Spring collection has dropped! It can’t get better than this, right? For Hypebeast’s second installment we get to hear from Leah McSweeney and the rest of the crew. I love interviews like this because we get a chance to hear what’s behind the HBIC’s inspiration and how the brand (and lets face it, way of life!) has come along. I love that you get to hear a little from the other ladies behind MTTM too. I think my favorite part of this video is hearing how much swearing Leah does - I get so much grief for it!
