No matter what all the tabloids, and everyone else says, Lindsay Lohan is doing it right! Here she is, looking dolled up (and those shoes!) for Purple Magazine, shot by the famous Terry Richardson. PS, a couple of these are not NSFW.
Back when I once had a Myspace days Kesh was one of those intriguing adds because of her style and work ethic. I don’t know her, never met her, nor do I own any of her designs BUT I like my idea of who I think she is and what she does. Where was I going with this?? Oh yeah… her photos! Now that Kesh is on tumblr I have a chance to catch up on some her photography and I’d just like to share some of the work she has done because it’s freakin’ beautiful.
Ooooh this is exciting! Here is a view at Aldo’s Spring/Summer 2010 ad campaign, shot by famous photographer Terry Richardson. The campaign features model Jessica Stam. The ad features shoes and accessories all from Aldo. I love every single shot!
Wow! I am intrigued by all these photos! I’m not a knitter, but knitting is quite the art… All of these images are from Compulsive Knitting, the most recent show by photographer Daniela Edburg, a series of photos about the craft of knitting. Read the interview with Daniela and s+ more photos from her series here.
He’s at it again! David LaChapelle never fails. And of course, our daily Lady GaGa feed of course. This shoot has been done for Lady Gaga’s new album “The Fame Monster” and even has the famous rapper Kanye West in one of the pictures. Any comments?
If only I knew or could find out who these shoes are made by? But the most interesting part of course is the photographer, Mi-Zo. You can check out more of his work here.
Talked photographer Romain Laurent took these interesting photos. The whole idea is to creat animal like figures out of the people, with fashion accessories. These images were published in issue #34 of WAD magazine in an editorial entitled ‘Zoo.’ This is a way to sell bags people!
A peek inside of V Magazine Issue #61 - “Live From New York” - features supermodel Sasha Pivovarova and Freja Beh Erichsen. The girls were photographed by Mario Sorrenti with styling done by Jane How. These looks capture everything dynamic about New York with a bit of theatrics playing a part in the clothing. Sasha and Freja don the likes of Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton, Stella McCartney, Nina Ricci, YSL, Alexander McQueen, Dolce & Gabbana, John Galliano, and Balmain. I absolutely love the photos - check behind the jump for more!
These works place some of every girls and boys Fairy Tale characters in modern day scenarios. In all of the images the Princess is placed in an environment that articulates her conflict. The ‘…happily ever after’ is replaced with a realistic outcome and addresses current issues. Let’s get real, this is great art. We all might be princess’s, and sometimes feel like were living this dream world- but we all have the same life problems like everyone else.
The project was inspired by my observation of three-year-old girls, who were developing an interest in Disney’s Fairy tales. As a new mother I have been able to get a close up look at the phenomenon of young girls fascinated with Princesses and their desire to dress up like them. The Disney versions almost always have sad beginning, with an overbearing female villain, and the end is predictably a happy one. The Prince usually saves the day and makes the victimized young beauty into a Princess.
