I was having this talk with my boyfriend the other day, whether he would like to see me wearing heels more often. This came up as we were walking and shopping around the Santa Monica promenade. I have to admit that the only time I really wear heels or pumps is when I go out with my girls. The club, a bar, cocktail party, etc. It came to my attention that I never really wear heels. I’m a flats/sandals girl, and it just seems so alien to me to put on some heels for a walk in the grocery store or to lunch. But, my question for our readers is how often do you wear heels?

Today’s Oprah show was all about shoes and accessories. With the help of a style team, Oprah and her pals came up with a list of the six types of shoes every woman needs to own.
Here’s what they came up with:
1. A Black Pump

I love these pointy-toe heels from BCBG; they are a great staple for any wardrobe. But if stilettos aren’t your thing, then try a kitten-heel or something with a wider heel.
2. A Comfortable Flat

These Tory Burch flats are super comfortable and add a punch of color to any neutral outfit.
3. Evening Shoe

Evening is the perfect time to experiment with your shoes. There are tons of strappy sandals out there, but why not be a little more adventurous? I love these Report Signature lovelies with zipper bows.
4. Sleek Comfort Sneaker

I don’t wear sneakers often, but when I do, I always go with my trusty Pumas. They are perfect for running errands when paired with jeans and a casual top.
5. Tall Boot

I absolutely love these flat boots from Target. They are perfect over skinny jeans or with skirts and dresses. I like to wear them over brightly-colored tights.
6. All-Weather Boots

I love a cute rain boot, but PLEASE don’t wear these as an everyday staple! They are only meant to help you trudge through the rain or snow. If you’re running errands in the inclement weather, then definitely reach for your rain boots. Otherwise, you’ll need to change your shoes once you arrive at your destination.
These are the six must-have shoes according to Oprah. I would definitely add booties and platforms to the list. What shoes do you think every woman must have in her closet?

It’s no secret that I’m a tad-bit obsessed with Christian Loubouton. The sequins, the hidden platforms, the sky-high heel: swoon!
So I was super delighted when I opened my inbox this morning to see an e-mail from Neiman Marcus about the new Christian Louboutin Resort Collection. Of course, I can only dream of owning most of these beauties, but every once in awhile, I pool my shoe funds and splurge on one fabulous pair. And I do mean SPLURGE! With the cheapest pair in the collection coming in at $535, I’ll have to start saving every penny from now until January and give everyone on my Christmas list a high-five and a hug instead of an actual gift. (Ok, probably not the best idea!)
But, just in case you’re looking for the perfect gift for me, might I suggest:

Glitter Pump in nude and fuchsia

Glitter Peep-Toe Pump

Damas Knotted Platform Pump

Strappy Platform Sandal
While Louboutins are definitely an investment, they are also super versatile. You can pair almost all of the styles with jeans and a fierce top for a night out or a cocktail dress for a fabulous holiday party. No matter what you wear them with, you and your Louboutins will definitely be the talk of any outing!

I need to get these Finsk heels in my life some how. I love the stacked heel and the cuts - especially in the toe. The detail all over is amazing. It’s gorgeous, sassy, and girly all at the same time. Closer look behind the jump.
You can purchase these for a mere $562 at Oak.

DV by Dolce Vita is killing it in the shoe game. These have got to be one of my favorites so far. I am lacking a pair of simple pumps, and I think these might be the lucky winners.
