I know the Oscars haven’t even started, but I’m stuck in bed with a sore back after falling down my stairs (long story). So here’s my list. I seem to just like the usual suspects on other people’s lists. Sure, Sandra looks drop dead gorg but it seemed too safe for me. I love the ladies that take chances with colors, textures, and silhouettes. Take Zoe Saldana above. She is officially one of my favorite fashionistas. This purple Givenchy is perfect for her. Ahh and the ombre dyed ruffles? Oui Oui!

I cannot get over how amazing this Chanel Haute Couture dress is. Diane Kruger looks stunning! She seems to love to take chances and her choices are always something to be talked about. Looks kinda like a creamy sexy cloud of silk puffs, but in a deliciously fabulous way.

The color! The ruffles! The fit! Yes! Yes! Yes! I love Marchesa and now I love Vera Farmiga. I also love how well this color looks against her skin complexion. It suits her well.

Cannot leave Carrie Bradshaw off this list. In my book, Sarah Jessica Parker can do no wrong, especially in this Chanel beauty. The color is a bold choice, and the neckline is also pretty risky, but SJP pulls it off. If anyone could, she can!
Now…what are your thoughts about my list? Did I get it absolutely wrong??

I’m not sure what’s come over me, but this is the second outfit that I’ve seen Sarah Jessica Parker in recently that I haven’t loved.

I love the accessories, but the dress itself just isn’t doing it for me. I know it’s Dior, but there’s something very ordinary about it. Almost bridesmaid-y. SJP did put her own spin on the dress, but it just wasn’t enough to sway my opinion.

InStyle recently put out a top 12 dresses of the decade on their namesake website. And, to tell you the truth, some are dead WRONG. There is no trace of Jennifer Lopez’s barely there green Versace gown, which makes the decade cut, being worn in 2000. What about Gweneth Paltrow’s pink Ralph Lauren frock worn when she won her first Oscar? Or Halle Barry’s Elli Sabb? Michelle Obama in Jason Wu? All of these were much more monumental than any of these dresses.
However, I do love Camilla Belle in Alexander McQueen and Anne Hathaway in Armani Prive. Gorgeous dresses. Take a look for yourself at who else make the cut after the jump.
I might have to make a list of my own soon. Stay on the look-out!

I love Sarah Jessica Parker. The girl (for the most part) can do no wrong in my book. But this look at her latest movie premiere completely missed the mark:

I don’t really mind the color combo of pink and purple…although it does send 80s flashbacks screaming through my head. And I love the snake necklace.
But the short, tight dress is just so, well, short and tight. It looks like something you would see on your typical club-going twenty-something. You know, like Britney Spears.
Of course, all fashionistas are entitled to a few mistakes, and people who take risks like SJP generally have more than their fair share. And who knows? Maybe this look will make an appearance in one of those 80s flashbacks in the new “Sex and the City” movie.
