It seems like Irregular Choice seems to be coming up in our Yay vs Nay posts alot, exactly for the reason that they are very irregular choices. With these though, I’m slight in between the feeling of disgust, and the feeling of wanting to just try them on to see how they feel. They are neither fug nor cute. When I first came across these Valentino Sculpture Lace Pumps I was intrigued. But the closer I look at these I can’t help but think that they are just flat-out ugly. The floral applique looks like it was glued on by a first-grader. I really don’t understand why anyone would pay $4700 for these shoes. But, then again, I’m not filthy rich. I guess given the opportunity I could rock these, but I just don’t have any desire to…

There is something about hearts on shoes that gets me every time! There is something even cuter about GREEN heels with red accent! I love them! Although they aren’t as affordable as I wished they would be, $395 for some cute wedges isn’t bad. If you’re feeling them , grab them over at Piperlime.
One of my favorite artistic shoe deisgner INSA, was one of six artists asked by Tate Britain gallery to create a response to a recent exhibit by artist Chris Ofili. The results? A 10-inch heel made out of real elephant dung. Thats right, elephant poopies. Now beat that! .
“INSA retraced the footsteps Chris Ofili made over 15 years ago and sourced dung from the same family of elephants that produced the dung used in Chris’s infamous paintings of the nineties.”
Every shoe United Nude has to offer is really a work of art. The amount of work and creativity gone into each shoe amazes me. The Dutch shoe company (shoe arhtiect’s) have launched their Spring/Summer 2010 Collection. I am loving every single one!
Rihanna was spotted wearing the special edition Puma x Sergio Rossi hi-top sneaker which was designed for the Spring 2010 collection. I’m not a huge fan of the sneakers, but she wears them well. You can cop your very own pair at the Luisaviaroma shop now.
Although I wish the Alice + Olivia version of the Gucci bootie was less t- strap, it is still a great, more affordable version. The Gucci version goes for $990 at Saks, while the Alice + Oliva for Payless goes for $39. Go figure!
I seriously think that you can pretty much put anything on a shoe that’s semi-interesting, and it can be a hit. For example, through on some kind of weird futuristic boat on the bottom, and someone will wear it. Designer Tea Petrovic, graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina.
