One of my favorite labels, Married to the Mob released this short film, sort of like a video look book for their Summer 2010 collection. This film features adult film star Faye Reagan (ok) and is fimed in New York City. Hmm..
Well we’ve teased you enough, after all that build-up from our little sneak peeks, we’re finally pleased to release the full feature to the public. The whole thing happened very organically, aside from Leah and myself, all we had was our director (Shawn Regruto!) & his modest film crew of two (Mat & Bob!), our homie Bugsy who was able to speak Russian to the locals, and perhaps most importantly, our star, Miss Faye Reagan. We trekked out on an overcast day and threw ideas back & fourth as we went, knowing only that our final destination would definitely be Coney Island in all of it’s run-down splendor. I’m absolutely in love with the finished product, and I think that most of you who watch it will be pleasantly surprised by it’s subtlety amidst such a vibrant summer collection.
It’s a common known fact that sex sells, but at what cost? DimePiece’s S/S 2010 collection, Too Much Too Young, ventures into the sensationalized, fast-paced and drug-ridden culture that society stresses to our youth. At some point we stopped expecting young people to be productive, intelligent members of society and began to think of them as gullible, indulgent consumers. We explore the view of today’s youth by venturing into stimulants, self-worth and politics with trippy imagery and an audacious approach. We’re taught to know “facts” but critical analysis is lost to effort to simply look like you understand. With this in mind, DimePiece tells the story of a girl who sits on the Capital’s lawn with beer cans and our symbol of ‘freedom’ as her cushion. Throughout her journey she finds herself falling through space and time, attempting to hold on to her breath…the only thing that she finds real and constant. She awakens in a disillusioned state, engulfed in a modernized jungle of drugs and sex. How much do we actually know about ourselves, and our place in America? In this story, details in the images are blurred to symbolize the lies and inaccuracies we’re told and what we’ve failed to question.
What is too much? What is too fast?
With uncensored graphics, provocative cuts and silhouettes, DimePiece adds another season installment to what we see, what we think and who we are. Visit their new website and webstore, both with a new modern look, as well as the TOO MUCH TOO YOUNG short film directed by Minou Morberg.
The days of summer might be drawing to a close, yet the evening hours relent. Hence, the perfect time for LA based contemporary fashion brand Hellz to introduce their “Kicks After Six”capsule delivery. A concise yet bold collection, this limited 6 piece line extends Hellz’ ongoing graphic themes incorporating the idea of empowered defiant women that exude nothing but vicious confidence.
Hellz Creative Director, Lanie Alabanza-Barcena expounds, “Inspiration for the graphics were drawn from familiar faces of fashion icons and iconic fashion brands who celebrate them.”

Directed by Olivier Dahan , featuring Marion Cotillard, Dior has released a mini story of its own- a lady James Bond adventure- “Chapter 1: A Lady Noire Affair“. The film shows off the men in perfectly pressed Dior Homme suits, and Marion Cotillard rushing up the Eiffel Tower in amazing black heels, distinctly shaped “Diorette” sunglasses and the Lady Dior Handbag.
Surrounded by mysterious people, kidnappings, and the spy thriller-ish vibe, I think that Marion looks absolutely phenomenal.
For those of you who are fans of Dior and Cotillard, you can follow the short films development on TWITTER.
XOXO
Be on the look out for the second chapter, Marion Cotillard as “Lady Rouge”.
