I have always been a huge fan of Ksubi so when I saw their “Eye Eye” collection I was pretty excited. This spring collection is made up of seven optical frames and eleven sunglasses with a mix of modern updates on the aviator and wayfarer shapes. A friend of mine just picked up a great pair of aviators this past weekend so needless to say I kind of want a pair. Come September when this collection is released I may be a proud owner. Available through Ksubi, David Jones and General Pants Co. nationally. Prices range from $289-$329. More behind the jump!

You guys have seen the Mercury sunglasses from Nooka, but check out these brand spankin’ new “Venus” sunglasses. The Venus sunglasses brings NOOKA’s sleek and cutting edge design aesthetic to the world of sunglasses. The frames follow the Nooka gem inspired shape, seen in both the zem and strip collections. The polished stainless steel and silver mirror finishes bring a sense of luxury to the line that embodies technology and futurism. For heightened color and contrast acuity, deflection of light and UV protection, the blue lens are silver mirror coated. Buy them here.

When it’s summer time the only thing on my mind are swimsuits and sunglasses. I have an annoying obsession with both, and right now I am lusting after these new W’s by SUPER. They come in five different colors all of which I want. These have the same straight frame like the Flat Tops, with a retro futuristic look that is still simple. Also note that the arms don’t curve around the ear!

I’m a huge fan of SUPER’s eye wear collection! These retro sunglasses come in basically every shape and color! SUPER, by RETROSUPERFUTURE, ignited the phenomenon of acetate sunglasses. They are made in multiple color graduations, which has generated a big trend starting in 2007. Super is the 1rst brand to produce a complete range of colorful fashion sunglasses combining these characteristics together with a very high quality manufacturing process. SUPER sunglasses are made to the highest possible standards, hand made in Italy by the best manufacturers and with the best materials. For this reason, SUPER also decided to adopt ZEISS lenses, which guarantee an extremely high level of protection to the eyes in all conditions. Since their introduction, artists, celebrities, sports athletes and trendsetters have been wearing SUPER sunglasses.
These handmade fully leather wrapped flattop frames are from the Fall 2010 Collection and retail for $375 at Barney’s NYC.

Sunglasses are just one of those things that I noticed many women are willing to dish out good cash for. Whether your a typical big spender or not, sunglasses should be quality accessories. BUT, I also know many people who would rather have large quantities of cheap sunglasses versus the one pair of $350 sunglasses. Me, I go both ways. I kind of don’t mind spending $10 on a pair of sunglasses that I don’t like but won’t cry over if they break or scratch. I’m a pretty careless person, so having to take care of something is not really in my vocabulary. On another note these Bernhard Willhelm x MYKITA Franz 24K Gold Sunglasses go for $775! Holy smokes!
These new Nooka Mercury shades are available in four neon shades (summer I’m tellin you!) as well as black and white. The frames are light weight because of the polymer injected frames, with a matching rubber nose piece and ear guards for comfort. The lenses have a mirror finish to help provide UV protection and I think add to the futuristic look. These are available for pre-sale at Nooka right now for pre-sale only for $130. Check behind the cut for the neons!

These are definitely some of the most bizarre looking sunglasses I’ve seen in quite a while. You definitely can’t look like the average Joe if you’re going to wear these. Make sure you wear a stellar bubble suit, or latex outfit to go with these. A plain t-shirt and jeans just won’t do it! Buy here.

Claw Money has just released some new sunglasses! Besides her own line, Claw is an avid collector of vintage frames her newest release speaks to her deep knowledge of design history. Peep the ultra-cool Versach ($300) style above, and the glamorous X-Frame ($300). There is also a new collaboration piece with Kerin.Rose.

With striking pewter zip embellishment, these black matte square-frame sunglasses with black lenses from Alexander Wang by Linda Farrow are a sassy take on a modern classic. Slip these light-weight frames on for instant beachfront chic. I actually really like them! $365 at Net-a-porter
When you are feeling extra fab, you need a pair of sunglasses to match your mood so why not opt for these babies! These A-Morir Bootsy glasses, named after legendary Bootsy Collins, are laced with crystal pyramid studs and rhinestones in a metal setting. A little over the top but sometimes you just have to rock it out. Or, maybe if the frames/lenses were detachable you could use them like ninja stars if you were feeling extra sassy. Available at a-morir.com for $275.
