So last Thursday, myself and Dj Spintelect put together a mixtape release party for our newest mix “Stuck On Repeat” (download here). The rain was the worst that day, and it was actually scary for a couple hours, but regardless, we all made it through. The drinks were flowing, music was pumping, and many of our supporters came through. I think the highlight of the night was our epic “beat the beat jersey shore” moment (as seen below). This past Saturday, we attended the Feminality Art show in Downtown L.A to show love for our favorite fellow blogger, Betsey J, and of course the females all participating in the art show. Kymby and I stopped by and browsed the amazing art work, questioned the naked girls walking around the galleries (they were doing body paint), and chit chatted with some peoples. There definitely was some amazing art work, with artists including Tara Mcpherson, Amy Botello, Jessica Sardas and more. I was so tempted to buy some art-work, but my spending habits are currently not allowing me to buy things like this.

There’s nothing like waking up to the debate of coochie, and ladies this was the conversation that started my morning. Okay so to give a quick synopsis of what went down between two gentleman— guy #1 was convinced that he could have sex with any “bitch” he pleased in three weeks tops, but the reason he hasn’t is because no woman is on his mental level— while guy #2 was convinced that this other dudes mission was impossible because it took him almost a year to get this particular female ass naked in bed.

If there had to be a crazy girl of the TLD ladies, she’d definitely be me! I go by a few different nicknames but feel free to call me Nicki. I’m an original Georgia peach, lived in Detroit for a while, and now I reside in West Los Angeles. I’ve been in LA for about a month because of a school transfer to The Art Institute of California-Los Angeles, and needless to say I’m in love! I’m definitely on my budget baller steez! My everyday style is pretty casual/simple but the weekend party nights are my scheduled “go wild” times. I love all things Melody Ehsani, Married to the Mob, ANML House, Hellz Bellz!, Volcom, BillaBong, Irregular Choice & I’ll stop there because the list goes on lol! I’d say I was really into the artsy side of fashion. I like the kind of pieces that step outside the box. My motto is “Just laugh”.. well, I’m not sure that is a motto but if so that would be it. I work as a full time student and a part time free lance graphic designer. I love art and I love what I do. It’s in my strong opinion that every one should take a walk on the art side at least once, whether that be taking an art class, going to a museum, or persuing a career in the field. I like to design, blog, online shop, tweet, party, and just have a good time! Love going out, meeting new ppl, and making crazy diverse friends. Aimee Greenburg, usually just Aimee G. Mmmm child! Born and raised 23 years ago in the BEAUTIFUL Santa Barbara area (what’s up 805!) Currently residing in the LBC while finishing my final year at CSULB as a fashion merchandising major, with the long-term goal to take over like Rachel Zoe and Mariel Haenn have. Fashion is my life. Literally. I work retail, study fashion, and dream about photoshoot themes. Since I’m a full time student, full time retail goddess, stylist intern at Chic Lil Devil Styling House and a full time grinder, I don’t have time for much of a social life. I try to go to as many fashion events as possible in LA in my scarce spare time.
I like to call my style mood-based with class, always classy. I rock the leggings and a big menswear shirt but also pull denim wide leg trousers, embellished top, and a boyfriend blazer together to look as polished as a broke college student can possibly look. I’m a full-blown Target shopper, but do dapple in the occasional Marc Jacobs pumps and La Dolce Vita mid calf leather boots (To. Die. For.) My favorite designers include the duo at Marchesa, Marc Jacobs, Balmain, and Jason Wu. I’ll work with them all, someday!
