I think when everyone saw Alexander McQueen’s collection for Spring 2010, everyone was in awe. There were some evidence of snake print in the amazing shoes, and some natural colors in the clothing. TDLC put together an amazing comparisons of the collection to natures own moths. Love it!
Nicole Miller had one inspiration in (or not) in mind when she made her Spring 2010 collection. The Weather channel, duh! Designer Nicole Miller was at NYFW presenting her spring 2010 collection which evidently to TDLC looked like weather radar! When asked about her newest season, she said “This season was more about how I dress”. Simple, and selfish, yes. Hot, yes.
I love when designers use the wierdest and most random things to inspire their designs.Erin Fetherston’s spring Collection is heavilly inspired but nothing else but the mushroom cloud. With soft frills, bubbles and almost cloud like looking materials, Erin Fetherston’s collection is awesome!

Eyelashes, how I wish I could beautiful long eyelashes!! I actually just bought a dress that looked like it had eyelashes from Forever. For Fall 2009, designers all seem to be looking to one particular print: the eyelash. I never thought eyelashes would look so hot! Shouts out to Jill for this post at TDLC.

I wrote about Mary Katrantzou a couple months back, because this line seemed to look like it was inspired by Perfume bottles. But as TDLC points out, it looks much more grasshopper like. The thorax, and abdomen (Thats me trying to sound like I know about bugs), are intact with the dresses. TDLC took the fashions and compared them to individual types of Lubber grasshoppers, and she’s spot on in her comparison. From the prints to the high necks featured above, these designs are straight from nature.
