I don’t even really know the technical color term for this style, but I know that I’ve been seeing it way more often on women. I was rocking this look back in 2000 when I procrastinated on my orange hair color, and let it grow out half way. Apparently, it’s the new hot thing. I’m not sure if you actually really let it grow out to achieve this look, or if you dye it to be this way- but I actually kind of like it. Sort of um…grungy?

It looks like the latest trend in fashion is to be patriotic and sport your flag. Me, you couldn’t catch me dead in an American Flag bikini- not because I’m not proud of my country, but I just can’t do it. I imagine Hulk Hogan rocking an American Flag bandanna, not myself. Katy Perry was looking fly in her UK/USA dress for the World Cup game on Saturday.

Elephants indefinitely have to be my favorite animal to walk this planet, no kidding! There is something about their emotional behavior and just overall adorable-ness that gets me every time. I think I own about 10 articles of clothing and 3 pieces of jewelry plus a pair of shoes with elephants on them. Does that prove my point? Anyway, I’ve been seeing elephants on almost everything from jewelry to laptop cases. Here are a couple faves.

Stripper shoes, I’ve always wanted to own a pair. I probably would never step out side my place in them, but maybe just a chance to dance in the mirror (solo) or walk around and cook in them? It just sounds fun. Props to Shauna Sand for being able to rock 8 inch stripper heels to the beach with her kids. “It takes a lot of money to look this cheap” perfectly describes these looks. The Versace Interecciata boots and heels go for nearly $3,000. While the FENDI court shoes go for nearly $1,500. Go figure!

Jill at Trend de la Creme just reminded me of the 1954 cult classic “Devil Girl From Mars”. I would agree with her that it is NOT the flick to see because of the horrid acting, but the costumes that Patricia Laffran wore put a stamp on the brain. When I first saw this in middle school I wanted to BE Patricia so I could wear her shiny, skin tight clothing. Her “sharp, strong shoulder lines” are definitely making a comeback. The Purple Sequin Shoulder Dress above is by Rise.

I’ve been seeing this do more and more lately. The shag do. I contimplated doing it at one point, so I tried, and failed-just because I didn’t have the hair style for it. You definitely need layer upon layer for this style. If anyone has photos, I would love to see!

As a recent quitter (yay to me), I am being haunted by the evil cigarettes, in every day things like fashion! Nooo…. Not to fear, I’m strong enough to karate chop any temptation that comes near me. Found a collection of some dope ciggy fashion items though.

Japan is known for its bizarre trends and we have blogged about this before but I think I might have just come accross the worst trend by far-BODY INFLATION! Thats right our friends overseas are using saline injections to decor their faces with donut shaped bulges as a form of body art! I am a sucker for tattoos and piercings as a form of body art but this is not bearable! Now Ill finish this this blog fast because I can no longer look at this horrid photo its giving me goosebumps. I will not eat another donut, bagel etc for about 2 months now-Thanks..

Crimped hair is totally 80’s , I know. But it seems that the throwback hair style is coming back on the runway, and I’m digging it! Whether you braid your hair or buy a crimper, either way-I think it looks great. I also like the look where it’s half crimped and half not, or in a pony tail. It adds some edge, especially if you’re hair is like mine and is straight and is too stubborn to curl. This is the crimper I have, it’s a 2-in-1 crimper/straightener by Con Air and I loveit!
